Taser Electric is a startup based in Bengaluru and is going to launch three electric scooters in the last quarter of this year. The company started during the pandemic, seeing petrol prices rising and aiming to provide for both urban and rural people.
Taser Electric Scooter Price
The price range for the Taser electric scooter has not been revealed by the company yet, but according to some sources, the estimated price is expected to be ₹95,000 for the mid-motor variant and ₹85,000 for the hub motor variant, for a 170 km range, the price is ₹1,20,000. These prices are set to align with the FAME II subsidy, which includes a subsidy of ₹15,000.

Taser Electric Scooter Range
The company CEO claims that the first variant of the electric scooter offers a range of 90-95 km on a single charge, while the second variant boasts an impressive range of 170 km and a top speed of 70-90 kmph.

Taser Electric Scooter Specifications
The first variant of the e-scooter is equipped with a hub motor and has a battery capacity of 2.5 kWh, while the second variant features a mid-motor with a larger battery capacity of 3.5 kWh. The e-scooter provides the option of both belt drive and chain drive, with chain drive specifically designed for villagers and belt drive catered towards city commuters. It also offers two modes: eco-mode and sports mode. Additionally, the e-scooter has a boot space of 21 litres. In terms of display, it features an analog display that shows the battery percentage and the expected range.
Charging the e-scooter with its 2.5 kWh battery takes nearly 5 hours using a 750W charger. However, it also provides fast charging, completing the process in just 2 hours.

Taser Electric Scooter Looks and Design
The appearance of Taser electric scooter combines elements from both Ather and Simple electric scooters. It has an overall aesthetic that is both sleek and straightforward, with a headlight resembling a pill shape, which seems to be a copied version of both electric scooters. Additionally, it offers a mono-shock suspension at the rear, similar to Ather’s design.

Taser Electric offers three different variants: Taser, Taser Pro, and Taser Urban. The company is making specialized electric scooter for farmers and villagers. This e-scooter is equipped with a BLDC hub motor and provides a range of 70-90 km on a single charge, with a top speed of 50 kmph.
