This comes on the heels of the company’s recent launch of the S1 Air, priced at 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Ola’s CEO, Bhavish Agrawal, intends to maintain the element of surprise for customers upon the unveiling of the Ola S1X. Nevertheless, an automotive media outlet managed to discreetly capture images during this confidential event. While we’re not suggesting that media shouldn’t take photos, it appears they may have breached the agreement.
Bhavish Agrawal’s Statement On Image Leak
Ola Electric held a media event today to showcase some upcoming products/news. This event and the information shared were supposed to be confidential and embargoed – meaning the media was not supposed to share any details until given permission.
However, it seems some media persons sneakily took photos at this confidential event and shared them publicly, breaking the trust and agreement of keeping things embargoed.
Ola Electric is disappointed with this breach of trust by the media. They put in a lot of effort to create exciting events and products for customers. Such leakages ruin the surprise/excitement and go against the agreement.
Unless the source of the leak owns up and apologizes, Ola Electric will stop showing new products to the media before official launches. Media will only be allowed to see products after customers see them at launch events.
This is to prevent future leaks and ensure customers get to see new products first, not the media. Ola Electric feels the media has damaged their own credibility by breaking confidentiality in this manner.

Customers have already encountered challenges with the curved design of the front footboard and the unconventional single-sided front fork suspension in the current Ola S1 Pro model. However, the company is now addressing these issues. Recently, they incorporated a Front Telescopic Suspension and a Flat Footboard in the Ola S1 Air model. It appears that they are planning to implement the same changes in the Ola S1 Pro variant as well.
