Simple One is a Bengaluru-based startup that has so far made many big promises and struggled to keep them. However, in this article, we discuss five reasons to buy a simple electric scooter. If you are confused, this article will clear your confusion.
Simple One Release Date
The Simple One Electric Scooter, launched in India on 23 May 2023, boasts a range of advanced features. It offers geo-fencing, remote locking, and OTA updates, along with colour options like Brazen Black, Namma Red, and Azure Blue. The scooter sports a sleek and user-friendly dashboard, enabling remote commands and the ability to save and forward routes. With an impressive acceleration of 0-40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds and a top speed of 105 kmph, it packs a punch. Powered by a 4.8 kWh battery pack and an 8.5 kW electric motor, it generates a peak torque of 72 Nm and provides a range of up to 236 km.
Simple One Electric Scooter Price

1. Range
First of all, in terms of range, the STD variant of this electric scooter offers an impressive (IDC) range of 212 km per charge, which significantly reduces range anxiety. Additionally, the Extra Range variant of the Simple One scooter offers an enormous range of 300 km/charge. This Extra Range variant is equipped with a 5 kWh battery pack and a swappable battery of 1.6 kWh.
2. Motor
The motor appears to be the identical component as the prototype. This translates to an 8500 kWh motor and 7.2 mm of talk, which unlocks a 0–40 kmph time of 2.77 seconds precisely the same as the prototype. However, this is compensated by the scooter’s higher weight of 134 kg.
3. Battery
As previously mentioned, the battery is divided into two usable sections: one under the seat, which is a portable removable unit, and another under the floor, which has grown in size to 3.5 kilowatt hours while the one under the seat is still the same at 1.5-kilowatt hours, bringing the total battery capacity up to five kilowatt hours from the previous 4.8. Two reasons are given for doing so: Range is the first; you now know the IDC range in km. The temperature control of the battery is also accomplished by the second basic series.
4. Design
The Simple One has an aggressive and sleek aerodynamic look, which gives it a sporty appearance. It is equipped with telescopic front suspension and symmetrically mounted progressive mono-shock rear suspension, along with alloy wheels and tubeless tires. The scooter also features LED headlights, tail lights, and turn signal lamps.
5. Display
The Simple One is equipped with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen LCD display, which offers various features including Bluetooth connectivity, Geo-fencing, music control, OTA updates, and access to call and SMS alerts.
6. Features
Additionally, it offers keyless ignition or keyless entry, a service due indicator, a low battery indicator, and a Tyre pressure monitoring system.
The inclusion of a Tyre pressure monitoring system is a unique feature usually found in cars, but the Simple One provides this functionality as well.
